Timber Tones Guitar Plectrums - These beautiful plectrums are made from 18 different exotic timbers from around the world and cover a range of different hardness. Each gives a subtle difference in tone, thus allowing you to fine tune your sound. Each plectrum is 30mm tall, 20mm wide and about 2mm thick with a nice grippy feel and beveled point
The plectrums are ordered by their hardness starting with the softest. Clicking on the images below will bring up more information, including their hardness rating and more pictures of each different type. These plectrums are rated by their 'Janka' hardness - the softest pick (African Mahogany) is 830 up to the hardest wood (Lignum Vitae) at 4500. By comparison, pine is rated at 420 and mahogany is 800.
